AlaskaReindeer.com is dedicated to providing premium, free-range reindeer meat from the pristine tundra of Nunivak Island. Our reindeer roam wild across the island, grazing on native vegetation such as lichen, mosses, and wild grasses. This natural diet and environment result in lean, flavorful meat that is free from antibiotics, hormones, and artificial feeds.
Our operations are deeply rooted in the cultural heritage of the Nuniwarmiut people, the traditional stewards of Nunivak Island. Through sustainable harvesting practices, we honor this heritage while ensuring the health of the herd and the environment. Harvesting occurs during the winter months, from November through early March, when snow levels provide safe conditions for both herders and animals.
We take pride in delivering high-quality, naturally raised reindeer meat to customers across Alaska and beyond. From the island, shipments travel via Grant Aviation or Ryan Air to Bethel, then continue to Anchorage through ACE Cargo, Everts Air, or Lynden Air. Our commitment to quality ensures that each product reaches you in peak condition, ready to enjoy.
